my husband and his ex have a court review of the child custody case.  She says she cant fly out here to be at court.  She wants to have a conference call.  Can she do that?

Yes...as a guardian ad Litem I have been in on several cases where one parent was out of state and could not get a couple days off to come fight custody !  Courts are for the BEST INTEREST OF A CHILD..not the parents.  Parents fight...children need to be protected and that means BOTH PARENTS being heard and seeing who is better.   CANNOT do that if you don't talk to them.

BOTH parents have a right to be heard.  The child needs to be heard by having that done.

Some courts allow some witnesses to appear at some hearings via telephone.  Whether that particular court will allow that particular person to appear by phone at that particular hearing, I have no guesses.
