Can the Lemon law apply to my case?

I bought a 97 Honda accord from the Owners. When i try to register my car they didn't let me because it was a salvage car. Would the lemon law apply so he could give me my car back?

Texas "Lemon Law" only applies to new vehicles (less than one year or 24,000 miles).

If you want to have the car repaired and obtain a cleared title, you will need to obtain a Rebuilt Vehicle Statement, a Certificate of Repair from an authorized inspection station, the salvage title and a fee, and take it all to the county tax office for a "rebuilt title."

"If you discover you have purchased a salvaged vehicle that was not marked as such, then you are a victim of fraud. You can contact the Texas Attorney  General's office for assistance:
    * Office of the Attorney General
    * 300 W. 15th St.
    * Austin, TX 78701
    * (512) 463-2100 "
