If your going to, this time of year would be the time to do it.  Try the Etsy web site, it's cheaper than renting out a table and not as confusing as E-Bay.

Mind Body Spirit Events are a good place to sell these things, also try schools, village halls, having events there is loads going around at this time of year.

Packaging makes all the difference at this time of year too, so try making up gifts packs, fancy wrapping and labels.

I did a 4 day event a few years ago and made quite a lot

I made and soap soap, incense and candles(bakery style) for years at craft shows and did well. The thing about crafts though is you need to constantly be aware of the ever changing fads and change your styles too. I stopped doing craft shows and eBay after too many other people decided to make similar products. It was hard to make even a small profit with competition being so fierce. It stopped being fun.
