Last Minute Trade Show Booth Costs?

0 votes
My company is thinking about exhibiting at a trade show 'last minute' meaning 2 weeks before signing up for a space etc.  Do these spaces normally cost more or less because they are last minute?  There are a few open spots but I am not sure if they charge premium or discount for last minute exhibitors.

I've worked many shows in Las Vegas, Florida, SF, and Texas.  I'm not aware of the prices going up as opening day approaches.  We always signed up as early as possible to get the site(s) we preferred.

Prices going up is not the issue for you.  Either what they're charging is worth it to you from a business perspective, or it isn't.  This should be a financial decision, not an emotional one.

I've attended quite a few trade shows as an exhibitor and I can say definitively that you won't be getting a deal if you don't ask for one. If they are sold out they will tell you, if they are not then you have the advantage in the negotiation.

They will negotiate to fill their booth slots. Do not act desperate.
