Whats the best place to donate my car to charity?

I want to know the best place to donate my car to. Where it will help out the most as well as give me a tax return??????

depends who you want to help, and i think that it is great that you want to help a charity.
i would go straight to the vietnam vets donation, or the kars for kids, both fantastic charities. i think that kars for kids gives the maximum allowed tax credit, but not sure about the vietnam vets.

I see "Vipassana" is up to his usual stupid rude responses. The places that are going to do the most good with the donation are the Salvation Army, St Vincent DePaul or Goodwill industries. They donate vehicles to those in need or sell them to provide funds for their job training and other functions. This is a good thing to do because it helps all around.

Most local charities handle car donations, but try cartalk.com. They are a couple of radio hosts on NPR that have a special department for car donations. Your donation is tax deductible and it goes to support public radio programming on your local PBS station.
