If i get the 2009 new home-buyer's tax credit and am doing direct deposit when should i expect my tax returns?

I bought a home in 2009 and filed my taxes in January 2010.  I did the direct deposit and still have yet to see the money. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

You already filed your tax return.  Unless you made a serious error, you will never see it again.  Your tax REFUND could come at any time now.  I've personally seen them as quickly as 6 weeks though that appears to be the exception.

Be PATIENT!  It's a LOT of free money and IRS has to verify each of these tax returns.
Any paper return takes at least 4-8 weeks.
These typically run 8-22 weeks, and can take 6-12 months if you don't submit everything
These were running 18-22 weeks this summer.
Depends on whether you provided everything requested, whether they have to contact you, etc.

Tax RETURNS do not get deposited, they get sent to IRS files. But IRS does direct deposit TAX REFUNDS.  To find out the status of your refund call IRS at 1-800-829-1040.
Good luck, call early as the phone hold time could be very lengthy.
