I assume your referring to a child care tax deduction? Not the child tax credit. If you paid cash you can obtain a notorized letter from the caregiver, however if this individual is not a licensed facility or not reporting taxes on the income they are receiving in "CASH" I doubt they'll write you one. Hopefully you filed your taxes w/ a CPA or an H

Hi bonitat, I know how you feel.  It seems like the government takes so much in taxes and we are just out there not knowing what to do.  I recently came across a fabulous program that is always being updated.  It is called The Renaissance Goldmine of Brilliant Tax Strategies for Real Estate Investors.  Not only is the software fabulous, but when I get stuck and I need an answer for a difficult question, I can just send an email and I get the best and most profound answers - right away.  This guy is super educated and really knows the real estate tax law.  I don't think that there is any question he cannot address and has saved me thousands in taxes - which is more money in my pocket.  The software is a little pricey, but it is really worth the money - almost instantly!  Check it out at: www.goldlynxllc.com/audit-proof-taxes/
Hope this helps

Are you talking about the child CARE credit?  Have them give you a receipt - can be handwritten or typed or computer printed, witth their name, ss# or EIN, amt you paid, dates (range, not each individual date), and name of child.

If for some reason the credit is disallowed, you'd still get the rest of your refund.
