Filnig Income Tax return in India who does not have taxable income?

My wife has a pan card, she is a house wife *** free lance writer. Her earnings and return on investments does not fall into the taxable income bracket. Shuld she file income tax return, is it mandatory in India;/ What is best for her to do.

Yes, she must file tax return if her total income is more than income not accessible to income tax.

Ur wife has a PAN Card and is a House wife.
Her Return on Investments does not fall under Taxable Income Bracket.
Its not necessary for her to file Income Tax Return.
Pls check Income Tax Act section 139

She should file income tax nil return. It does not matter whether her income falls under taxable income or not.

if ur wife has pan card she is an income tax assesse so its mandatory for her to file income tax return irr respective that she falls under tax slab or not.
