Illinois is going to make a 75% income tax increase. Can the people of Illinois afford this?

Can the people of Illinois afford their income tax to be almost doubled?

Illinois has had 3% tax rate for  at least 40 years
and is one of the lowest in the country
and its only going to 5.25%
they want to cut spending and spending which has been done for  the past  few years  
at this time their is no more places to cut  except for the  state senators and represenatives  which seem to up 20% -25% per year
and as a state worker we have given up half of raises for the past 6 years our raises are usually 2% per year  and for a couple years  we recieved NO raises  but  everything we pay went up insurance .. retirement and such
its either this  or raise it  even higher  within the next 5 years if nothing else is done

Man the Conservative States are gonna boom with a ll the "Workers" moving from failed Democrat states. Too bad we can't make people sign a pledge to never vote for Democrats before letting them in
