I missed getting a tax credit for buying a home this year!?

Was wondering if the government would pass something later this year so I could get something.  OR do any of you know of a credit I can qualify for now that I am not aware?

Unlikely. But if this is your first home, you'll probably start itemizing on your next tax return because your interest is deductible. So, start keeping track of all things that are deductible, like donations to charity, these things will now help reduce you taxable wages.

Where do you think that money came from?  It came out of taxpayers' pockets.  Taxpayers are broke and deeply-deeply-deeply in debt to pay those tax credits.  Those idiots who got those "credits" are going to be paying for them for at least the next couple of decades - with interest, administrative costs, etc, tacked on.

You don't get something for nothing.  You pay for it one way or another.

They kept extending it, but finally stopped.  It's unlikely they'll reinstate it.
