Is major surgery bad for your health? such as memory loss or make you weaker?

What happens to a person after so many major surgeries under general anesthesia such as, plastic surgery, abortion, c-section birth, etc... all kinds of surgeries which required general anesthesia.
I am wondering if these surgeries cause memory loss, weaken your health, or shorten lifespan?
And what a person have to eat or what can they do to recover their health to become normal as before surgery and to avoid those bad consequences that might occur.

First off, it is extremely important to know the type of surgeries you have undergone (specific). Yes, most surgeries of that magnitude can cause memory loss, and almost all surgeries weaken your health even if the surgeries are intended to have a greater outcome in the long-run, certain sacrifices are made. Particularly in abortion and plastic surgery, I feel that many bad outcomes can result from these. In my opinion, these are two of the surgeries that should be steered away from. Yes, there are many ways to recover after these surgeries. Some good ideas would be better diet, exercise, READING (this is often overlooked when there is brain problems), and involving yourself in active conversations that are 'intelligent' and require you to actively use your memory.

all surgery carries a risk. The bigger the operation the bigger the risk. But thats ok as you take a risk every time you cross the road.
The most important thing is to have a positive attitude and not let yourself get stressed out beforehand.
Get yourself as fit and healthy as you can as it lessens the risk and helps you with the healing process afterwards.I had major heart surgery and dont appear to have any memory loss and am a lot better since my op.
