Here's a professional's review on the matter of the iPhone 4 / Samsung Galaxy S2. (http://www.t3.com/feature/iphone-4-vs-sa…
The best thing to do is not listen to fanboys shouting at each other about the handsets and make your own opinions on the products and choose which phone YOU would use better.

You can check reputation of these and other phones if you go to http://www.amplifiedanalytics.com/V2P-Pr… enter the product name and/or model and click on "Submit" button. The system will aggregate and analyze customer reviews to calculate the reputation metrics for you and will let you read the reviews if you want to.

I've had an iPhone 4 and currently have an S2. My opinion? Wait for the iPhone 5 and make your decision then.

Personally, I wish I'd kept my iPhone 4 and will be putting my Galaxy on eBay the day the 5 comes out. Why? I just prefer the Apple operating system to Android, though I have to admit I moved to the S2 because I got bored of the Apple OS after having several iPhones. The apps are more expensive and restrictive but they all work without being temperamental and that justifies the extra cost for me. I prefer some features of Android, without a doubt, but not enough. By the way, the S2 is absolutely the better 'specced' hardware out of the two, albeit it doesn't feel like it in your hands. Apple's OS on the S2 would be amazing! We'll have to wait and see what the iPhone 5 brings...

Jamie (above) is right about ignoring the 'fanboys', whichever side they're on: Apple or Android. The 'fanboy' label (usually aimed at Apple fans, for some reason) is some kind of way for people to criticise opposing opinions so that they feel like they're rebelling against the apparently mindless masses. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but ignore the muppets who criticise other people's preferences - their views tend to be pretty biased and, therefore, worthless.

I am perfectly capable of making an educated decision without following the masses and, having tried both, I choose the iPhone for my needs. Each to their own though - if you use Macs, the iPhone is for you. If you use PCs, the S2 might be better!
