What eye makeup brings out the color of brown eyes?

0 votes
I have really dark brown eyes (like you can hardly see my pupil) so its hard to find the right shades of eye makeup to make my brown eyes stand out....any suggestions? I've heard that greens are purple's are good. Also something quick and easy would be nice...like only 5 minutes to do....

I think for you, your best bet would be to bare a natural face that has the least cosmetics with the maximum amount of punch to them to get all of this done in five minutes. For your face, wear a tinted moisturizer that will even out your skin tone, but isn't too heavy. On your cheeks, wear a light cream blush, or lip tint that doubles for cheeks because this will last longer than powder. Set your makeup with translucent powder so that it lasts all day. For your eyes, prime the lids so that the shadow won't crease. Wear a nice neutral eye. For your eyes, take a light pink hued brown and place that on the lid up to the crease. In the crease, place a nice warm brown. Under your brow bone, wear a shimmery silver color, but not glittery. Blend out with a fluffy domed brush. Brush on some dark brown or black mascara because this will create definition, which eliminates the need for liner. On your lips, prime them with lip balm. Wipe the balm off for smooth lips. Take the same tint that you used for the cheeks and apply it to your lips. Seal it up with gloss. Now you're ready to go!

Greens and purples do bring out brown very well. Also gold and bronze-y colors! For a quick, easy look- do a very neutral eye. Three colors for the lid, crease, and brow bone. I do a light, creamy tanish white color, a brown (can be light or dark) color lightly in the crease, with a matte white color for my brow bone area. Top it off with some gold eyeliner (I use Gold Bliss from Coastal Scents gel liners. It's my FAVORITE) and if you want to make them pop even more, do a very neutral eye on the top and on the lower lash line do a pop of color! Like a green eyeliner or purple! MAC has some and so do many others. Especially drug store brands. It works, it's fast and makes brown eyes pop! Sorry if that was a bit confusing, but hopefully it helps! Have a very happy and blessed Easter!

dark blue (not navy, but royal or cobalt) eye liner

purple is more for green eyes

you want to complement your eye color to make them pop out (so use your eye color's complementary color)
