Male Yeast Infection?

0 votes
I believe I have a yeast infection. I have a few questions though:

1. Is there any test a doctor can/should do to find out if I do have a yeast infection, or do they prescribe medicine based on the symptoms I tell them about?

2. Speaking of doctors, is there a specific kind I should go to? I previously went to a Primary Care doctor, but the appointment was rushed and I felt like he was just prescribing me medicine based on what I told him. I'd like to go to a doctor that can tell me how severe my infection is based on data.

3. Are there any over-the-counter medicines that can help with male yeast infections?

Thanks for any and all help!
