my cat has a red rash on her back.....?

my cat puff has a red rash along her spine, her hair is fallig out along the rash and there is wihte stuff probably puss her hair is sticking to and it  dry. it looks like acne. but its a rash. like a REALLY bad rash.
can someone tell me what this may be and how to get rid of it? we are giving her a bath but i wanna know what it is

Your poor cat needs a vet. I know it can be alittle expensive but once you find out what it is, you will be better able to treat it on your own next time. Could be anything from a parasite to dry skin, best to have it checked.

Might be ring worm. This is contagious, and can transfer to people too. We used to use iodine on it. I don't know if there is something newer and better or not.  Ask your vet.
