The best insurance will be the group plan that is offered through your employer.  You should sign up with this plan as soon as possible.

If you do not have insurance through your employer, you can apply for personal health insurance.  However - this is VERY important - if you take out a maternity policy, you MUST wait ONE YEAR before becoming pregnant.

This is because pregnancy is considered a pre-existing condition, and if you become pregnant before the probation period is over, you will be DROPPED cold by the insurance company.

You likewise will have a minimum 3-month probationary period if you qualify for a group health plan through an employer.  It will be important to talk to the HR administrator to understand exactly how long the probationary period is for maternity coverage on the plan.
